How iStore Heat Pumps Work
1. Air Intake
A fan draws air containing heat energy across the evaporator.
2. Refrigerant Conversion
The evaporator turns the liquid refrigerant into gas.
3. Pressurisation
The compressor pressurises the refrigerant into a hot gas.
4. Heat Transfer
The hot gas heats the water inside the coil-wrapped tank.
5. Refrigerant
Reverts back to a liquid after heating the water and continues to the evaporator for the process to start again
6. Cycle Continuation
The refrigerant returns to liquid form and continues the process.
7. Temperature Maintenance
The cycle restarts when the water temperature drops below 45°C.
